Avinash blackmails Shermi

Shermi was sitting on the bed feeling very sad.

Avinash parked his car and went towards Shermi’s house. Raju was washing the car. He looked up as Avinash approached the house.  

Avinash went straight in and climbed up the stairs. Shermi heard the sound of footsteps. She looked at the door and saw Avinash. Avinash smiled. Shermi spat and turned her face away. He approached her.

Shermi said, “You bastard. Killer. Please get out of my house.”

Avinash said coolly, “I did not come to go away.  I will not go as soon as you say get out. Listen to me.”

Shermi became serious. “Never. Not in this life.”

Avinash came near her and sat on the bed. “It is possible. It will happen. Because I love you and you love me. Just go according to my plan that’s all. In this very house…….”

He got up and stretched his arms to show the room. “In this very room, in this very bed, we will live in romance whole life.”

Shermi was shocked. She got up. “You are a deceiver. You do not love me. You want only the property.”

Avinash said, “I want the property with you. What is the use of property without you? I want both. Please. I beg you. Do as I say. I will guide you. We can be happy all our lives.”

Shermi became serious. She pushed the glass kept nearby on to the ground in anger. It broke. “Impossible.”

Avinash said, “It may be impossible for you. But for me it is possible. That is why I have brought this to give you as a present.”

Avinash took out a CD from his pocket. Shermi looked at him seriously.

“What is that?”

Avinash said, “This? The history of our romance. Scenes of our romance in the guest house.”

Shermi was shocked. Avinash went to the CD player and inserted the CD. She was shocked to see the romance scenes appear. She immediately went and switched off the player. She removed the CD and broke it into pieces. Avinash sat on the chair and laughed. “The whole thing is in my computer. I can print thousands of copies of it for you.”

Shermi shivered. She fell at his feet and folds her hands. “Please don’t put fire into my life.”

Avinash pinched her cheeks. “Shermi, why should I spoil your life. I give you the choice. Either you get burnt in the fire or you agree to my plan and live like a queen with me. You decide.”

Shermi started crying. “Avi, please don’t do like this. You take whatever you want.”

Avinash got up and walked to and fro. ‘See, Shermi, I want a beautiful lady like you. I want this bungalow; I want all the property owned by your husband. I have only a paan in my hand. I need supari. You are my paan and your property is the supari. Just go according to my plan. As soon as Deepak is dead, in 6 months time, we will get married and live happily.”

Shermi’s cell rang. Avinash picked it up and looked at the number. “Oh oh. It is your husband.”

The crying Shermi took the cell from him. “Hallo.”

Deepak said on phone, “Shermi, how are you? Why did you switch off the cell whole night?”

Shermi said, “I was not feeling well.”

Deepak was shocked. “Your tone has changed. Have you seen the doctor?”

“It’s just a common cold. I have taken tablets. Don’t worry.”

“I am returning from America in one week’s time.”

“ Please Deepak, come tomorrow itself.”

Avinash looked at her seriously.

Deepak said on phone, “Don’t worry.  Will be home in 2 days time. But you take care of your health. You know how many gifts I have purchased for you?”

Shermi said, “Ok.” Shermi switched off the cell.

Avinash said, “Very good. So he is coming soon.”

Shermi went to the cupboard and took out bundles of money. “Tell me how much money you want. But please leave me alone.”

Avinash came near her and looked at the money. “Ha! What shall I do with this money? I can get 10 times this amount if I put this CD in the market. But I do not want to do that. I want you. I want the property. That’s all.”

“What? Are you blackmailing me? You are a cheat.”

“You say whatever you like. I don’t care. From tomorrow onwards, if you do not act according to my plan, I will make this CD public. Your husband is a famous diamond merchant in this city, isn’t it? If our romance became public, he will commit suicide.”

Shermi stared at him. Avinash looked into her eyes. “But I don’t want to give him such a death. It is a waste for me. He must die in your hands only.”

Avinash went towards the door. Shermi watched him go.

Avinash said, “See, if you don’t pick up the cell when I call, I will come directly to your house. Let anybody be there, I will not care. I warn you. Don’t switch off your cell.”

Shermi shivered in fear. Raju was standing at the door listening to their talk. As Avinash came out, he immediately went out of site. Avinash came out and climbed into his car. The car moved.

Naik was watching from a far distance.
