38. Deepak comes with guest

CHAPTER 38
Deepak comes with guest

Deepak got down from his car with a Marwadi friend. They entered the house. Deepak made him sit in the hall and entered the bedroom.

Shermi was sitting on the bed lifeless. Deepak approached her. Seeing him, she got up. Deepak touched her face. “Are you having fever?”

Shermi immediately said, “No nothing.”

“Ever since I came from America, I have been observing you. You seem to be very depressed. What is wrong with you? Let us go to the doctor.”

“No. I am fine.”

“Ok. As you wish. By the way, my friend from Jaipur has come. He will stay for dinner. Wash your face and come to meet him.”

Shermi washed her face.

Deepak came into the hall with Shermi. Ramanlal looked at them.

“This is Ramanlal. A big diamond merchant. He has diamond mines too.”

Shermi wished him. “Yes. He had come a few days back.”

Deepak was surprised. “You did not tell me.”

“I forgot.” Said Shermi carelessly.

Ramanlal observed her.

******************************

It was dinner time. Shermi served food to Ramanlal and Deepak. After dinner, Ramlal left.

Later at night, Deepak and Shermi were lying on the bed. Shermi was in deep thoughts. She turned to one side. Deepak observed her. He caressed her head.
“You have changed.”

Shermi was shocked. “No. I am fine.”

Deepak looked into her eyes. “I think you are worrying about something.”

Shermi’s body shivered. But she remained silent.

Deepak was worried. “I must take you to a good doctor.”

“No. really, I am fine. You are mistaken.”

“You don’t seem to be interested in anything these days. You take rest.”
He made her sleep. He put the sheet over her body.

************************************

It was 11 pm at night. Shermi’s cell rang. Deepak was sleeping nearby. She looked at the watch. 11pm. She looked at the number. It was Avinash. She was shocked. She quickly switched off the cell. The phone on the table rang. She was shocked. She got up and called him on her cell. She went out of the bedroom.

Avinash was sitting in a car outside the gate. “I know how to bring you to my line. Today is a very good day to kill Deepak. I have a very good plan. Just listen to me. Come down and open the gate lock. Otherwise, I will climb to your balcony and enter your bedroom.”

Shermi came into the balcony and looked down. Avinash was standing outside the gate.

Avinash said on phone, “Get down and open the gate. Then you can go in again and lock the house door. Otherwise by morning, the CD will become public.”

Shermi shivered. She went down the stairs and removed the gate lock. Avinash entered the compound. Shermi went into the house immediately and locked the door. Then she went to the balcony and looked down. Avinash went below Deepak’s car and fixed a bomb. Then he came out. Shermi was watching him. Avinash left. Shermi tried to call him on her cell. But he did not receive her call. She put her head in her hands and sat on the balcony floor not knowing what to do. Suddenly her cell rang. She picked up the cell eagerly.

Shermi said on phone, “Please tell me what you have done.”

Avinash said on phone, “My work is as fast as a bullet. If I put the point, the job is as good as done. Death is definitely. Natural death. But if you interfere, the CD will become public and he will commit suicide. But this 2nd death is a waste for us. You will lose your face in society.”

Shermi shivered with fear.

Avinash said on phone, “If you leak out this matter, I will say that you only ordered me to do this. Remember that I am a professional killer.”

Shermi fell down unconscious on the floor of the balcony.

After some time, Deepak woke up to see that Shermi was not in the bed. He went to the balcony and saw that she was fallen unconscious. He put water on her face and woke her up. Slowly, he brought her into the bedroom, and made her lie on the bed.

Deepak said, “Really, I think something is wrong with you. I can’t bear to see you in this state.”
He hugged her tight.

Shermi thought, “Such a golden husband. Tomorrow or day after tomorrow, he might die. Oh! What shall I do?”
