CHAPTER 41

Shooter is dead

It was 11pm. Deepak was sleeping. Shermi was lying beside him in deep thoughts. She thought, “I have kept extra security in front of the house. All the doors are locked.”

At that time, she heard low sound of motor bike. She thought, “It will not be Avinash. He always came in a car nowadays.”

She heard the motorbike stop behind her house.

A motor bike was standing behind Shermi’s house. Avinash, wearing a long Jerkin with gloves on his hands got down. He walked to the compound of the house. He saw the security guards. Then he moved to the other side and removed a hook and rope from his bag. He threw it on the compound wall. Then he looked all around. He saw a pipe and climbed it to get into the balcony. He softly entered the hall.

Shermi heard the sound of footsteps of somebody walking in the hall. She got scared. She looked at her husband. He was sleeping. She covered his whole body with the bed sheet and went out.

Shermi entered the hall and saw Avinash. She was shocked. He approached her clicking his fingers. He patted her cheek. “Are you wondering how in spite of your tight security, I am inside your house? My life started as a professional killer. A small gap is enough for me to enter. My operation is of that.”

He looked at her from bottom to top. “You are looking so sexy. It is a long time since I had some fun with you. I came to kill Deepak but I am now getting into mood.”

Shermi was afraid. He went to hold her. She moved back till she reached the wall. He held her tight and kissed her. “Let us first enjoy and then I will kill Deepak.”

Shermi said, “Please don’t harm my husband.”

He hugged her tight.

Shermi said, “Please leave me alone. This is not right. I am a married woman.”

He pulled her into a nearby room.

Shermi pleaded, “Please let me go.”

Avinash said sarcastically, “It used to be very nice earlier. Now you don’t want me? You want to shout and call your husband? Come on. Shout. I will rape you and then kill him.”

 Shermi became cool. Avinash removed her dress. She escaped and ran out of the room half naked.

Shermi ran into the bedroom. The demon like Avinash entered behind her. He removed his gun and aimed it at the sleeping Deepak.

Shermi shouted, “Please do not shoot.”

Avinash said, “I want you. So he had to die.”

Avinash shot a number of bullets at Deepak’s body. Blood oozed out on to the bed sheet. Shermi screamed and ran towards the table. She opened the drawer and took out a revolver. She aimed it at Avinash and suddenly the lights went out. Sound of bullets. The lights came on. Avinash was struggling for life in a pool of blood. Shermi looked at him in a state of shock.  She screamed. “Oh! I have killed him.”

Suddenly, Naik was seen standing at the door holding a revolver.  “Not you. I have killed him.”

Shermi stared at him. “He killed my husband.”

Naik approached her and took the revolver from her hand. Deepak appeared at the door. Shermi was shocked to see him alive. She looked at the body on the bed.

“Then what is that?”

Naik said, “That is only a dummy. Ever since I saw you both at the I.B, I have been following you. I am the old man who came to your house. I have been tapping your phone to get all the information. Not only that, when he put the bomb in Deepak’s car, I removed it. Even Deepak knows that. We knew that he is going to come today and we were ready.”

Shermi started crying. “I made a mistake.”

Shermi went to Deepak. “Please forgive me, Deepak.”

Deepak said, “It is ok, my dear. It is natural to make mistakes but realize it and to ask for forgiveness is the great thing. You know what the reason behind all this is?”

 Naik said, “I will tell her. Sex is positive but it has to be kept in a balance. Too much of sex is not good and too little is also not good. See, now your husband is a complete man after the operation. Now you have no problem and can live happily.”

Shermi said, “Forgive me, Sir. But to me that is not important. For me, Deepak is more important.”

Deepak said, “For me it is very important now. So, let us go to Switzerland tomorrow and enjoy real romance.”

They hugged each other. Naik looked at them and slowly left.
