35. Naik appears in disguise

CHAPTER 35
Naik appears in disguise

In the evening, a car came and stopped in front of Shermi’s house. A Marwadi with a cloth on his head got down from the car. The man was dressed like a rich man.

Ramanlal said to Raju, “Tell that diamond merchant Seth Ramanlal has come from Jaipur.”

Raju went in. Shermi was sitting in the hall in deep thoughts.

Raju said, “Madam, Seth Ramanlal, a diamond merchant from Jaipur is here to see you.”

Shermi was surprised. “Tell him that sir is not at home.”

Suddenly the old man appeared at the door. Seeing the rich man, Shermi welcomed him. “Please come in sir.”

The old man sat on the sofa. “I am Ramanlal from Jaipur. I own diamond mines. I have come to meet Deepak. I had called him on the phone. He told me that he will be home today.”

Shermi said, “Setji, he was to come home today, but he did not. He will come tomorrow.”

Ramanlal took his cell and tried to call someone. “I think my cell is out of charge. Madam, please can I use your cell for one minute?”

Shermi immediately gave her cell to him. “Please sir.”

Ramanlal pressed the cell and put it to his ear. Suddenly, his own cell rang. Immediately, he took his cell. “Oh! The person himself is calling me.”
He returned her cell.

Shermi asked, “Sir, will you have some juice?”
She went into the kitchen. Ramanlal noted down the number of the missed call. Shermi brought a glass of juice. Ramlal drank juice and got up to leave.

Ramanlal said, “I will meet Deepak at the shop tomorrow when he returns.”

The old man went out and sat in the car. The car moved. After a while, he stopped the car. Removed the cell and called the intelligence control room. “Mr. Chary, note down this cell number. It belongs to TATA I think. Tap this number. Give a link to my cell. When this number rings, my cell should also ring. The supari killer is in action.”
He removed his mustache and the cloth around his head.

Driver said, “Sir, when you are in disguise, no one can recognize you.”

Naik laughed. “This number is enough to release all the suspense.”
